Turnkey live sound reinforcement from a professional musician and sound operator with more than 40 years of real-world performance and mixing experience.
Musician-minded live sound
For more than four decades, I’ve been both a professional musician and the person behind the mixing board—providing live sound for my own bands, other performers, concerts and music festivals.
I personally transport the system, set it up, soundcheck the performers, mix the front-of-house system and stage monitors, help with changeovers between acts, then tear everything down and take it away.
A specialty that comes from experience
I’ve spent many years performing in bluegrass bands and mixing all-acoustic groups where the instruments are amplified primarily with microphones rather than pickups.
Banjo, fiddle, guitar, acoustic bass, mandolin, dobro and vocals can be especially prone to feedback. Getting them loud enough for an audience while keeping the sound natural requires careful microphone placement, monitor levels, equalization and an attentive ear throughout the performance.
My goal is simple: let the audience clearly hear the music without the sound system becoming part of the show.
A system sized for your event
My system is modular, so I can configure the PA to suit the venue and audience rather than bringing the same oversized rig to every job.
From intimate concerts and small rooms to concert halls, community events and larger outdoor performance areas, the objective is always the same: use the right amount of sound system for the music, the space and the people listening.
Complete sound service
When you hire me, you’re not simply renting speakers. I stay with the system and manage the sound throughout your event.
I transport the system, place the loudspeakers, run cabling, set microphones and prepare the stage.
I work with bands, solo performers and speakers to establish levels and monitoring before the show begins.
I actively mix the sound heard by the audience and make adjustments as the performance develops.
Individual in-ear mixes for up to five musicians, or two side-fill monitors when preferred.
For multi-act events, I help performers get connected and keep transitions moving between sets.
At the end of the event I dismantle, pack, load and transport the entire sound system away.
Small by design
I’m not trying to be a giant production company with trucks full of staging, lighting crews and touring systems.
Instead, I provide experienced, professional live sound at a competitive price for concerts, festivals, community events and performances that don’t require—or want—the expense of a large production operation.
You’ll deal directly with the person who delivers the equipment, sets up the system and mixes the show.

Let’s talk about your event
Every show is different, and I’d rather talk with you than make you work through a complicated technical questionnaire.
Send me the basics by email and I’ll contact you by phone to learn about the performers, audience, schedule and sound requirements. From there, I can determine what the event needs and provide a bid.
